A man claiming to have a bomb was arrested on Thursday, and his target was allegedly Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks.
A suspect, Terrence Cook, was detained after entering a Georgia office building and saying he “was tired of being treated wrongly and that he had a bomb,” the Atlanta Police Department tells ET. According to police, Cook was carrying a FedEx envelope and a book and was purportedly looking for Parks, who works as a lawyer.“The suspect was attempting to go to the second floor, which is The Parks Group law firm, but was unable to get to that floor,” Atlanta PD told ET in a statement, confirming S.W.A.T. units and Airport K-9 also responded to the scene. “Police officers detained the suspect on the fifth floor. Homeland Security responded to the scene and advised they would be charging the suspect.”Police say no bomb was ever found. Cook has been charged with making terroristic threats and creating a false public alarm.
It’s unclear whether Parks was even in Atlanta at the time, as she has been sharing social media posts from the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as recently as Wednesday.
If you’ve been keeping up with the drama that is Keshia Knight Pulliam and Ed Hartwell’s split, you know that the name of his ex-wife, Lisa Wu, has entered the conversation. And while Pulliam has spoken out about Wu, clearing the air about whether or not she violated any friendship they may have had by being involved with Hartwell, we incorrectly brought Wu’s name into the conversation after confusing her for an ex Hartwell told Page Six TV he still cared for and consoled after she lost a baby. That woman also has a daughter. Hartwell claims he was instructed not to speak to both individuals after telling Pulliam about that situation.
But that woman isn’t Wu, and we wanted to ensure after the slip-up that you obtained the correct information: She didn’t lose a baby, doesn’t have a daughter, and wants no parts of her ex-husband’s drama. A rep for the Hollywood Divas star helped us get our facts straight. They stated that out of respect for their co-parenting relationship, Wu doesn’t have anything to say about the couple’s split.
“Lisa has remained silent throughout this whole ordeal because A) it has nothing to do with her B) she is still co-parenting her 9-year-old son EJ with Ed and doesn’t want to say anything negative about his father C) this is a PRIVATE matter that Ed & Keisha need to work through amicably and privately and not on national TV and blogs,” her rep stated. “Lisa was never pregnant a few months ago so she never had a miscarriage or ‘lost a baby.’ Lisa does not have a 13 year old daughter or a daughter period!”
Wu does have three sons: two with ex-husband Keith Sweat, and the aforementioned EJ with Hartwell. As Wu shared in an interview with HipHollywood, as long as their son was happy with his dad and Pulliam’s relationship, she was happy for her ex, saying, “my son is happy. He likes her. That’s all that matters. She’s great to my son, then I’m great to her. If she wasn’t, then there would be a problem.”
The one and only Danielle Staub, “Real Housewives of New Jersey” OG, proud mother, table-flip target and weave-yanking victim, joins co-hosts Erin Medley and Vicki Hyman on TV Hangover to talk about her traumatic tenure on the show, the hard times that followed and, yes, her willingness to return (ka-ching!). She also talks frankly about Caroline and Dina Manzo, why Melissa Gorga owes her big time, and how Teresa Giudice’s fraud impacted her own bankruptcy: “I took the hit for all of them.”
Most people know Kim Richards as the combative, often out-of-control star of the reality TV series “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” The real-life sister of Kyle Richards, half-sister of Kathy Hilton and aunt to Hilton sisters Paris and Nicky has spent more time on TMZ and in the tabloids than anything else — including for a pair of arrests for public intoxication, resisting arrest, trespassing and battery on a police officer, and a second for allegedly shoplifting at a Target store in the San Fernando Valley.
But long before Miss Richards, now 52, was tabloid fodder, she was an adorable child actress. She was the precocious Prudence Everett in the classic sitcom “Nanny and the Professor,” and went on to be Disney’s first big female star by headlining “Escape to Witch Mountain,” “No Deposit, No Return,” “Return to Witch Mountain” and “The Whiz Kids” series. As a teenager she turned in memorable performances in “Tuff Turf” and “Meatballs 2.” More recent adult work has included performances in “Black Snake Moan” and a cameo in the big-budget “Race to Witch Mountain” remake.
At The Hollywood Show, a quarterly fan fest autograph event in California, Miss Richards talked about her early acting days and how gardening is her therapy.
Question: What is the most common thing fans say when they meet you?
Answer: They just talk about my career, their favorite show, their favorite memory. And they ask what are my favorite career memories, which is awesome because I get to think back on my favorite shows and the great memories I had making them.
Q: Do you have a favorite memory from when you were making “Nanny and the Professor?”
A: A couple. I was growing plants. We were making a garden. The whole set was covered with flowers. I just remember everywhere I looked, there were these beautiful flowers. I’m not gonna say that that is the reason I love flowers and roses and gardening so much, but it may have been the start of it.
On a day where things are kind of “not the best,” you will always find me in the garden planting. It’s therapy for me.
Q: Do you have any good memories from doing the “Witch Mountain” movies?
A: My favorites would be working with the animals and their trainers. Although that may not be fair that I’m leaving out all the [humans] I worked with. [laughs] Working for Disney and working with these animals was such a big thing for me. The trainers always let me be hands-on.
Q: You were one of the first Disney kid stars. Do you look back fondly on that time?
A: Yes, I do. I look back on my career and I’m so thankful.
Q: Do you feel like you missed out on childhood?
A: People ask me that a lot. Yeah, I didn’t get to do this or I didn’t get to do that. But there were so many other wonderful things that I did get to do.
And I’m super grateful to my mom. I think sometimes “stage moms” get a bad rap. My mom really worked hard in helping me with my career, and when I look back, I have some really amazing memories and experiences as a child actress.
Kim Zolciak-Biermann has a pair of new lips.
The reality star was spotted at Los Angeles International airport on Tuesday with noticeably larger lips.
The Don’t Be Tardy star shared selfie videos while waiting for her flight. In one Snapchat clip, she can be seen telling the camera she hid her no makeup face with a pair of oversized sunglasses and had only applied lipstick.
During her L.A. trip, Zolciak-Biermann, 38, documented a visit to her plastic surgeon Dr. Kassabian in Beverly Hills. The mother of six took to Snapchat to share her appointment during which fans and followers pointed out she had gotten a lip filler procedure.
This is certainly not the first time Zolciak-Biermann has been open about her plastic surgery history.
“I will always nip and tuck if I feel the need to do so” Zolciak-Biermann told E! News in May. “I’m open about it. I don’t care. You only go around one time, and I especially understand that.”
The former Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member previously documented her breast augmentation surgery for TV. Though Zolciak-Biermann has admitted to getting a tummy tuck, she has strongly denied getting cosmetic surgery on her face.
In an exclusive sneak peek at Wednesday’s Real Housewives of New York City, the Skinnygirl mogul not only questions de Lesseps’ relationship with fiancé Tom D’Agostino, Jr. – she looks to be actively trying to end it.
“All summer she was extremely desperate,” Frankel, 45, tells a friend. “The next thing I know, she’s in love, she’s getting married. … So we’re like, ‘Is this really happening?’ ”
While Frankel gets into the nitty gritty about D’Agostino’s awkwardly beneficial friendship with Sonja Morgan, The Countess, 51, is elsewhere talking with the other Housewives, and isn’t glossing over the truth.
“Oh, he was a player, for sure,” she says. “But like, I said: BL – Before Lu – I couldn’t give a flying leap.”
She adds, “I was a playing, too!”
But then Frankel drops a bombshell that D’Agostino might not have the most honorable intentions for de Lesseps, whom she calls “the biggest barracuda” on the Upper East Side.
“Wednesday at 2:30 in the morning, I receive a text – and this is a person who has no dog in this fight,” she tells her friend.
She continues in an interview: “Someone sent me a series of texts that are so incriminating that I can’t imagine how it wouldn’t blow up this whole engagement. This could possibly mean that the wedding will be canceled.”
Melissa Gorga appeared on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live(WWHL) talk show on Sunday night after the airing of the latest Real Housewives of New Jersey episode. During her appearance, Melissa talked about her current relationship with former co-star Caroline Manzo and her family. Melissa was also asked about her co-star and sister-in-law Teresa Giudice’s bad relationship with her cousins Kathy Wakile and Rosie Pierri.
Caroline Manzo starred on Real Housewives alongside Teresa from the first through fifth seasons. After Melissa joined on the third season, Caroline got a first-hand view of the family drama that happened between the Gorgas and Giudices. For the most part, Caroline stayed out of whatever was happening between Melissa and Teresa. As the seasons went on, Caroline’s friendship with Teresa deteriorated, but she remained friendly with Melissa. On WWHL, a viewer asked Melissa about her current relationship with Caroline and her family.
“The Manzos. It’s good. You know I don’t get to see them as often as I would like to, um, because I think Lauren’s married now, everybody’s busy and the Manzos have their own show so I don’t get to see them as much as I’d like but I absolutely still love the whole family.”
Caroline and her family have their own spin-off show, Manzo’d with Children. In April 2016, Bravo announced that the spin-off has been renewed for a third season. Caroline’s sister-in-law Jacqueline Laurita, who currently stars on Real Housewives alongside Melissa and Teresa, was frequently shown on the spin-off’s first two seasons.
The season finale of Season 2, which aired in November 2015, featured the wedding of Caroline’s daughter, Lauren Manzo. As the Inquisitr reported, Caroline’s sister Dina Manzo, who starred on Real Housewives for Seasons 1, 2, and 6 and went through a period of estrangement from both Caroline and Jacqueline, attended the wedding. Jacqueline, Melissa, Kathy, and Rosie also attended the wedding.
Speaking of Kathy Wakile and Rosie Pierri, what exactly does Teresa Giudice have against them? After years of bad blood, Melissa Gorga and Teresa were finally able to repair their relationship, and they’re now back to being close family members. The current season has also shown Teresa attempting to fix her friendship with Jacqueline.
Yet, the same can’t be said for Teresa and her cousins. A viewer called into WWHL and asked Melissa why Teresa excludes Kathy and Rosie from family events, such as the Christmas Eve dinner and the New Year’s Eve party. Melissa said that the Christmas Even dinner was meant to be intimate, but as for New Year’s Eve, she’s not sure why they weren’t invited.
“Well for Christmas Eve it was just that we wanted it to be intimate, just with her parents. I mean it was her first day back. For New Year’s Eve I’m not sure, I mean it was her invite.”
When Andy asked Melissa what specifically is the issue that Teresa has with Kathy and Rosie, who are currently “friends” of the housewives, Melissa mentioned that their family drama runs deep and that Teresa didn’t like some things that were said. Kathy and Rosie’s mom is Teresa’s aunt from her dad’s side. On a previous season, it was revealed that Kathy and Rosie’s mom and Teresa’s dad don’t speak to one another.
Bailey shared a solo portrait featuring the stunning metallic silver couture gown she wore to the couple’s lavish 2010 nuptials, writing, “We were friends first…@peterthomasrhoa #july24th #weddinganniversary #6years #godsknowsbest #ingodshands #thisjourney #mydress #thisday #beautifulmemories #humbled #grateful #thenextchapter #noregrets #1life2live #prayersandpositivity #godknowsall.”
Thomas – who was surrounded by infidelity rumors when the couple separated in 2015 – also paid tribute to the anniversary with a suited-up solo shot he captioned, “July 24 is a day that will forever be a part of me. #AnniversaryLife #CynthiaBailey #BetterOffFriends.”
PEOPLE caught up with Bailey at former Real Housewives of New York star Jill Zarin‘s fourth annual Luxury Luncheon in Southampton, New York, this past Saturday, and Bailey affirmed she is doing well – and ready to move on.
“I’m doing awesome,” the model and entrepreneur told PEOPLE. “I’m at a great place in my life. I used to always say I just want to be happy. I don’t say that anymore. Now I just say I want peace.”
One big factor in her new outlook? A milestone birthday.
“I’m turning 50 next year, and it’s a huge milestone for me,” she says. “It’s really important for me to wake up on my 50th birthday and just love my life – every part of my life. And that’s real.
This weekend, former “Real Housewives” from around the country gathered at Jill and Bobby Zarin’s Southampton Estate for the annual Luxury Luncheon. The yearly event’s mission is to support The Eric Trump Foundation for St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The housewives, who are generally known for their crazy antics on the television screen, came out to support a good cause, and had a “drama-free” day.
In attendance was Cynthia Bailey of Atlanta who got a couple of days off from filming the show to attend the event with her accessories line. Similarly, Kristen Taekman of New York made an appearance with her brand, Pop of Color. Other housewives who came out to show their support included Vicki Gunvalson of Orange County, California, Kathy Wakile from New Jersey and Kelly Bensimon, Cindy Barshop and Ramona Singer of New York.
This was the fourth year that the Zarins hosted the annual event that helps children who are suffering with cancer. Bobby Zarin is a two-time cancer survivor.
“We know what it’s like to have a beautiful life together which we’re so lucky to have but children are innocent, said Jill Zarin. “Anything I can do to raise money — I know I’m good at socializing, networking and introducing people.
She did just that in bringing together celebrities and brands to fundraise for the important cause.
Zarin also shared her thoughts about being in another reality TV show: “Never say never. People said I was fired, but the truth is Bobby said I was done. It was a great four years but we had enough.”
Tamra Judge says The Real Housewives of Orange County is about to get “epic” — starting this week!“So far, [the season’s] been slow,” Tamra tells ET. “It’s setting up the foundation for the frickin’ explosion. I’m telling you.”The RHOC star says the drama kicks off at Shannon Beador’s ’70s-themed party, which goes down on Monday night’s all-new episode.Recent previews show Shannon and Kelly Dodd yelling at each other at the party. Vicki Gunvalson and Shannon’s husband, David, also get into it — and, at one point, Kelly screams, “No wonder why you cheated on your wife!” at David. The Beadors’ marriage, of course, weathered a well-documented affair.“Does that not give you chills or what?” Tamra says of the moment. “There was a huge blowup prior to that. A huge blowup! So, that was really on [Kelly’s] way out … This is like an hour of fighting. Huge fights.”“Heather [Dubrow] and I said, ‘I just want to curl up in the fetal position,'” she continues. “I’ve never seen anything like this in my life.”“I would say, this is probably worse than the ’80s party I had,” the TV personality admits. She’s referencing her season seven bunco party, which ended with Vicki and former co-star Gretchen Rossi in a heated screaming match.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey is going to be an explosive season, but the most fiery moment will be the heated exchange between former frenemies Teresa Giudice and Jacqueline Laurita on their cast trip to Vermont, according to rumors.
But the newest cast member on the Bravo show Siggy Flicker spilled the beans on the blowout in an exclusive interview with OKMagazine.com, revealing the true reason the feud began.
“Jacqueline felt very, very hurt and Teresa was very frustrated,” Flicker told OK!. “From [Teresa’s] point of view, she just went through a very hard time in her life.”
Giudice, who was just released from prison after spending almost a year behind bars, is simply just “focused” on family and “wants to have easy friendships,” Siggy revealed, despite their past drama.
“Once you bring up the past you’re going to fold right back,” she said. “Unfortunately, it was not a good trip. Right now Teresa and Jacqueline are not good together.”
She added: “You saw what their relationship was in the past. I always believe there is hope.”
Clearly, the Real Housewives franchises have a reputation for exuding excess. (Yes, Taylor Armstrong, a $60K birthday party for a 4-year-old is a bit much.) With that being said, we were so not surprised to hear that when RH went global and landed in the faraway land of Athens, Greece — where around a million peeps are unemployed right now — it wasn’t met with open arms.
Similarly to the U.S. versions, the Real Housewives of Athens cast showcased the lives of six loaded chicks, all deemed Greek socialites: ex-models (and current TV personalities) Ioanna Soulioti and Annita Nathanail, former bball player Orthoula Papadakou, fashion designer Joe Togu, actress Christina Papa and, surprisingly, an actual housewife named Fofi Mastrokosta.
Despite the fact that more than 600,000 viewers tuned in for the show’s premiere episode, many a Greek paper has called the series out for its lack of responsibility. “Only scandalous blindness… could consider that this series has anything to do with the harsh daily life of Greek women,” a newspaper called Ta Nea said of the show. “These are neither real nor housewives.”
As much as those abroad might hate it, we can’t help but be a little curious about how these modern-day Marie Antoinette’s spend their moolah. Maybe Bravo should just broadcast it in the U.S. with subtitles?
Real Housewives of Athens debuted in Greece on March 4, 2011 and lasted until May 27, 2011 before bowing to political and media pressure with 12 episodes and all of one season. The Athens show was never officially connected to Bravo tho, so I’m guessing that’s why I had never heard of it.
