Trying to make herself more likable for her return to “The Real Housewives of New York City,” Bethenny Frankel has hired personality coaches to help her “tone down.”
The reality star returns for the next season of “Housewives” after leaving in 2010 to star in “Bethenny Ever After,” a spinoff documenting her marriage to estranged husband Jason Hoppy.
But Frankel is working to earn back public appeal after a messy split from Hoppy and the cancellation of her daytime talk show, “Bethenny.”
A source told The New York Post that Frankel, known for her brash, opinionated demeanor, has hired personality coaches to help her “tone down her s–t.”
The source explained, “She’s turned herself into a victim and been told by these coaches to be much more demure, and not be as harsh as she was.”
Frankel recently appeared on Bravo’s “Watch What Happens Live” chat show in which she admitted to host Andy Cohen that she would never get legally married again.
She also confessed to being single after splitting up with boyfriend of about one year, financier Michael Cerussi III.
The reality star is still living in the same apartment as Hoppy which meant that she was forced to film everything for “Real Housewives” outside of the apartment.
The new season of “Housewives” starts April 7. Reps for Bravo and Frankel didn’t respond.
Bravo announced Monday that the Real Housewives of Atlanta standouts will executive produce and star in the forthcoming series, which follows the pair as they take an epic road trip.
According to a network statement, “Atlanta’s ‘most driven’ Housewives … drive out of their comfort zones and across the country to discover America on a one-of-a-kind adventure.”
“The road to L.A. may be paved with good intentions, but that doesn’t mean they won’t occasionally drive each other crazy.”
While both Housewives have already starred in their own spinoffs – Zolciak Biermann‘s Don’t be Tardy has filmed three seasons while Leakes’s I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding documented her second marriage to then ex-husband Gregg – this new series is a first for the RHOA alums.
While the ladies rev up their engines, Leakes can still be seen in new episodes of RHOA, airing Sundays (8 p.m. ET) on Bravo.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jacqueline Laurita has fired back against a hater of her adorable autistic son, Nicholas.
According to the website “The Real Mr Housewife,” a woman named Jane Wong wrote a shocking comment on the online page of Autism Behavioral Services (a group that strives to improve the quality of life for children with the disorder).
Wong reportedly asked, “Why do people give birth to autistic kids? Waste of society’s resources.”
Laurita, whose son Nicholas was diagnosed with autism and has shared their journey on RHONJ, immediately wanted to educate the woman in an open letter.
Dear Jane W(r)ong, When your appalling and uneducated post appeared on the Facebook wall of the Autism Behavioral Services page, I couldn’t believe that a human being could have such a lack of compassion and empathy for others by having the audacity to say something so vile, and so publicly, about the life of another human being. I thought to myself, ‘What a hateful, hurtful and ignorant thing to say!’ For a moment, I found your comment extremely offensive and I felt anger towards you.”
Laurita went on to say, “I began to feel sadness for you. I have no idea what challenges in life that you have had to endure, or what kind of mental programming you’ve grown up with for you to think the way you do.
“I began to think that maybe I could help you in some way. Maybe if I educated you, just a little, I could open up your mind into a new way of thinking and possibly open your heart to allow in a little more compassion. I believe it’s worth an effort.”
Laurita added she is a very proud mother of a child with autism and made various points, including that there is no prenatal test that will tell you that your child will be born with the disorder and that she went through five miscarriages to finally give birth to her “miracle child,” Nicholas.
Spin-offs seem to be the thing nowadays for reality stars, especially for Real Housewives divas. First off, “Vanderpump Rules” with the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” (RHOBH) star Lisa Vanderpump. Secondly, Kenya Moore from “Real Housewives of Atlanta” (RHOA) wrote, produced, directed and starred in her own sitcom “Life Twirls On.” NeNe Leakes from “RHOA” almost had one but rejected the offer. Now, the sex couple Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker confirmed their own. Read on to find out.
RealityTea.com reported the spin-off deal by the “RHOA” couple, based on Burruss’ Instagram posts. Their family drama, “Meet the Tuckers” (does “Meet the Fockers” ring a bell?), is expected to show their complicated married life, bittersweet parenthood and struggles of establishing their own production business.
The couple’s married life became confusing because of their Mama drama, specifically the infamous fight between Mama Joyce Burruss and the late Sharon Tucker. The show would surely present the hardships of Todd while recuperating from his mother’s death.
It is pointed out on RealityTea.com how strange it was that Kandi seemed to be distant from the other Housewives’ recent issues. In the latest episodes, Kandi appeared to be more focused on her family and marriage counseling with Todd. It was probably a warm-up for their spin-off.
According to StraightFromTheA, the nonstop conflicts between the couple regarding their finances, relationship, Mama drama and attempt for another baby led to Bravo’s trust in offering them their own show.
Kandi posted on Instagram some photos of her flawless headshot (she really looked amazing!) and her family’s vacation. The headshot was taken from an interview (confessional, maybe?) while the vacation would possibly be featured in the spin-off.
The official cast for “Meet the Tuckers” is Mama Joyce, the couple’s daughters namely Riley and Kaela and some crazy hilarious extended family members such as Kandi’s “The Old Lady Gang” aunts.
It is reported that Bravo airs three episodes on Sundays in summer 2015 and continues the season if the ratings are high. However, the couple’s co-star Moore and her “Life Twirls On” spin-off kept on having publicities but no specific schedule yet. On the other hand, ex-Housewife Kim Zolciak’s “Don’t Be Tardy” is obviously successful because of its return in July 2015.
Lesson to all would-be cheaters: If you’re going to be unfaithful, don’t let Patti Stanger see it.
Now, Stanger has exclusively talked to PEOPLE to fill in the details of the night when she “saw the whole thing go down.” In fact, Stanger says she witnessed what she believes was the beginning of Mario’s long-term affair with twenty-something Kyle “Kasey” Dexter.
When a WWHL caller asked Stanger, 53, if she’d seen any “warning signs” that the Real Housewives of New York star and her husband might be headed for divorce, Stanger said she saw one giant red flag: “I was there that night he cheated.”
“I saw him pick the girl,” she told Cohen, 46.
Stanger told PEOPLE she’d been at another dinner with Ramona’s former RHONY costar (and sometime nemesis) Jill Zarin before they both headed to the party and spotted Ramona, 58, and Mario, 61, engage in a flirt-off.
Very quickly, says Stanger, “I noticed that everybody there was a little too wasted. Everybody seemed a little too flirty – almost overtly.”
“We went to the dessert table,” she says, “and I noticed that Mario was talking to this young lady who was a little bit out of his league. She was very young. In her twenties.”
“Ramona was watching,” adds Stanger. “Ramona was mad.”
Though Stanger says Ramona was also chatting up a younger man, her husband had already made a connection with Dexter.
“You could see he was a target, but that he was excited to be a target. They both went for each other and eyes locked,” said Stanger.
“I just felt creepy about the whole thing. I feel sorry for her.”
The Real Housewives of Melbourne has been upgraded.
After Bravo aired the reality series from Down Under on Sunday afternoons last year, season 2 moves to Thursday nights, and star Jackie Gillies promises, “There’s drama, there’s tears, there’s arguments – happy moments, too. There’s a lot of comedy this season, I will say.”
But, let’s be honest, we don’t come to our Housewives for laughs, we come for the glass-throwing antics.
With two new cast members entering the fray (regular Andrea Moss exited after season 1), Gillies promises there will plenty of fresh strife. Here are the highlights:
One of Melbourne’s most controversial figures in season 1 was Gina Liano, a heavily made up, foul-mouthed Housewife who never missed an opportunity to remind the ladies, “I’m a lawyer. I deal in fact.”
“Gina and I definitely get into it this season,” Gillies says. The previous bench mark? Liano accused Gillies, who is psychic, of talking to demons after Gillies insinuated Liano’s long-term (now ex-) boyfriend was having an affair.
But that incident was on camera. As things heat up this season, Gillies says plenty of off-camera shadiness will occur: “What’s frustrating to the other cast members is that Gina’s not always herself on camera. She’s very controlled.”
She adds cryptically, “Sometimes when people are confronted with the truth, they don’t know how to handle it.”
When asked if Liano is a truth-teller, Gillies, responds, “Absolutely not.”
The Real Housewives of Orange County star Lynne Curtin’s porn star daughter Alexa was always known as a reality TV wild child — but her legal issues were worse than the world ever knew! RadarOnline.com has uncovered yet another of her past arrests, this time for felony domestic violence involving a knife and tiki torch.
The terrifying incident took place on July 13, 2013, when a then 20-year-old Alexa went over to her ex-boyfriend’s house in Westminster, California to rekindle their romance.
But when Michael Devecchio, her live-in boyfriend of three years, found out she may have “hooked up” with another guy, things got heated, according to the police report obtained by Radar.
When cops arrived on the scene, shirtless Devecchio was “visibly intoxicated” with watery eyes, the report said. And he told cops the former reality star was “drunk and out of control.”
Devecchio claimed he had “discovered a suspicious message on her Facebook profile” from another guy. So he contacted the other man who claimed he and Alexa had “sexual relations,” said the report.
Devecchio became “enraged” and confronted Alexa, now 22, about the alleged cheating, calling her a “liar” and “derogatory” names, according to cops. When he took her wrist and asked her to leave, the report claims, she refused to get up from his couch and instead grabbed a large kitchen knife and held it to her neck.
According to the report, “she held the knife up to her throat and threated to slice her own throat. She asked him if he wanted her to kill herself since he didn’t want to be with her.”
Because her ex was unsure if she was serious about killing herself or just doing it to garner “sympathy,” the ex report states, Devecchio grabbed her wrist and the knife dropped out of her hand.
Still, when he tried to get Alexa out of his house, she resisted by hitting and scratching him, per the report. She then allegedly took a tiki torch from an outside planter and threw it at him.
According to official incident documents, Michael walked away with two small bloody cuts on the back of his hand, two-inch scratches on his neck and chest, and a four-inch scratch down the middle of his chest — while the only injury Alexa sustained were “hickee” bruises on her neck.
When cops showed up, Devecchio told them she “acts that way usually.” In fact, he didn’t want police to arrest her and said he regretted calling them. He even backtracked, insisting Alexa never hit him.
But after a neighbor told cops he knew about their “constant fighting” and Alexa’s inconsistent statements to police, the responding officers put her in cuffs and charged her with spousal abuse.
A judge later granted an emergency restraining order against her, but she got lucky when the district attorney refused to prosecute based on insufficient evidence.
The feud between “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” stars Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga continues. Melissa recently appeared on “Good Day New York” where she revealed that she has not seen or spoken to her sister-in-law since she began her 15-month prison sentence earlier this year after being charged with multiple counts of fraud in October 2014.
The pair have been at odds before, allowing many of their feuds to play out in front of Bravo’s cameras. They appeared to have made amends during Season 6 of the Bravo series. Gorga even acted as a support system for Giudice as she enjoyed her final months of freedom. Unfortunately, it seems that reconciliation was short-lived.
During her appearance on the morning talk show, Melissa revealed that she had not yet visited with Teresa, saying her sister-in-law and co-star was most likely saving all of her visits for her husband Joe Giudice and her four children.
“I think she’s going to want every visit to be with her children,” she said. “It’s obviously not easy being away from the children, but I think that’s probably the hardest part.”
Not only have the “Housewives” stars not had a recent face-to-face conversation, Melissa also shared that the only contact she’s had with Teresa has been through her husband, Joe Gorga. The 36-year-old says Joe regularly receives emails and phone calls from his sister and shares the updates with her.
Eek! ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ star Brandi Glanville gave the viewers more than they asked for during the shows finale when her boob fell out of her top and exposed her nipple.
Brandi Glanville, 42, accidentally showed off her best assets on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills March 24 finale. While wearing a very low-cut black top without a bra, Brandi’s boob slipped out of the shirt without any warning. At first, she didn’t even notice!
Talk about a wardrobe malfunction. Brandi’s own boob made a cameo on the explosive RHOBH finale, and ,believe it or not, that was one of the “lighter” moments during the explosive episode.
It happened while she was talking to her pal and co-star, Kim Richards, who was polite enough to point out the slip before anyone else caught it. Phew!
Kyle Richards’ feud with her sister Kim has gotten so bad, her husband, Mauricio Umansky, is stepping in! Sources tell RadarOnline.com he wants her to “keep her distance” from her sister over issues involving their daughter, Alexia, being bitten by Kim’s pit bull.
Umansky is “disgusted with Kim’s antics and how ungrateful he thinks she has been towards Kyle,” an insider told Radar. “For years before RHOBH, the couple helped financially support Kim. From paying for car repairs to tuition bills, Kyle always gave money whenever she asked. This was before Mauricio became wildly successful. At the beginning, times were lean. Any extra money Kyle and Mauricio had went to Kim.”
But after their daughter, Alexia, was bitten by Kim’s dog, Kingsley, last year, the source said, “There was no offer for financial compensation. They wouldn’t have accepted it, but the gesture would have made a big difference.”
And their feud only escalated as the sisters played the blame game, the source says: “Kim even suggested that Alexia was at fault for the attack!”
Now, “Mauricio never wants to see Kim ever again,” said the source. “She has caused nothing but sadness and grief to Kyle.”
The sisters continue to fight over the sale of their late mother’s house, with Kim accusing Kyle of stealing profits from her, as Radar reported.
Meanwhile, their other sister, Kathy Hilton, is “refusing to take sides in the drama,” the source said. “Kim and Kyle have always had their issues; it goes back to their childhood. They have always been very competitive. Unless Kim apologizes to Kyle for her behavior, Mauricio will encourage his wife to keep her distance from her.”
Bethenny Frankel, who’s written an upcoming romantic advice book called I Suck at Relationships So You Don’t Have To, has split from her boyfriend Michael Cerussi III.
“Right now, I’m single,” Frankel, 44, tells PEOPLE.
“I’ve been through a lot with exposing all my personal life so I’m not making any grand statements anymore,” says The Real Housewives of New York City star of ending her relationship with the financier she was first spotted with on New Year’s Eve in 2013. “But if there was somebody significant I would [say so].”
For now, Frankel, who is still locked in a bitter divorce battle with her husband Jason Hoppy, has no long-term plans for her romantic future. As she told Andy Cohen in an interview on Bravo’s What What Happens Live: “I will never ever be legally married again.”
As for dating in the future, the reality star tells PEOPLE, “I’ve never dated anyone in this crazy world that I live in now and I don’t think I would want to. I would only want to date someone low-profile.”
A Housewife’s happily ever after, perhaps! The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kenya Moore has Millionaire Matchmaker Patti Stanger to thank for setting her up with her new boyfriend James.
The producer, 44, appeared on the Sunday, Mar. 22 episode of the dating show, where her fellow Housewife Cynthia Bailey wanted to set up her pal with a quality man.
During the episode, it was revealed that Moore has been proposed to a whopping (seven!) times, and none of those romantic scenarios panned out — largely due to her fear of abandonment. Matchmaking pro Stanger, however, found a potential solution to Moore’s woes — first with an emotional counseling session, which was followed by a mixer with a packed room of eligible bachelors including one dashing gentleman named James.
As evidenced during Moore’s dinner date at Sur with James, the two immediately hit it off and even exchange a cute kiss at the end of their flirtatious night out.
At the end of the episode, Bravo noted that the RHOA star was still dating her hunky match. Moore also officially broke her silence on her relationship status after Sunday’s episode of Millionaire Matchmaker aired.
“Sometimes you can spend your whole life looking for Prince Charming when a King arrives,” the former beauty queen wrote, alongside a photo with her new beau. “Thank you @pattistanger and @cynthiabailey10 and my fans for your love and support and desire for my happiness. #matchmaker #KingJames #FriendsFirst #MillionaireMatchmaker.”
Ana Quincoces’ time on The Real Housewives of Miami was brief, but her vacation time down in the Florida Keys was cut even shorter. First by cockroaches and then by the law.
Quincoces had a suspended driver’s license but continued to drive freely. Apparently she’s been spending a lot of time down in the Keys, because Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputies had previously informed her of her license status and that she shouldn’t be driving. In fact, back on February 9, Deputy Bryan Cross had responded to a disturbance call in Key Largo and encountered Quincoces, according to the arrest report. Cross and a fellow deputy at the time informed her that her license was suspended, seized it, and told her not to drive.
Fast-forward to this past Sunday. Deputy Cross was doing a security check near Mile Marker 99 of U.S. 1 at 3:40 a.m. when he noticed a familiar Subaru SUV driving down the road. He recognized it as Quincoces’ vehicle and pulled her over.
Quincoces had still not fixed her license situation, and Cross asked her why she was driving when she had previously been told not to. Quincoces had no excuse and was arrested on misdemeanor charges and taken to a jail on Plantation Key for a few hours.
However, according to Keys Info, Quincoces now has an excuse. She says she was staying in a home that had been listed by a realtor friend of hers, but found that the home was full of cockroaches. She said she just wanted to return home and didn’t know she had a suspended license.
The grand irony of Quincoces’ apparent inability to understand basic law regarding driver’s license suspension is that she is indeed a lawyer by trade. She’s also a cookbook author and “chef,” but who isn’t these days?
Quincoces, a 50 year old from Coral Gables, first appeared on the first season of Real Housewives of Miami as a guest, returned to the second season a main cast member, and was downgraded to recurring “friend of the Housewives” in season three. The show has not been officially cancelled or renewed by Bravo.
If you feel like the drama involving Lisa Rinna and the Richards sisters has been going on forever, you’re not alone.\
Lisa Rinna feels that way too, but for some reason, she can’t stop talking about it!
It’s been more than two weeks since the Lisa vs.Kim Richards brawl first aired (and it’s been several months since it actually happened), but Lisa took to her Bravo blog yet again today to clear things for roughly the 4 billionth time.
You may recall that the situation heated up because of Kim spreading rumors that Harry Hamlin is cheating on Lisa.
Despite having already made her thoughts on that topic quite clear (via an airborne glass of wine) Lisa chose to write about it again today:
“Kim has still not apologized for her uncalled for behavior toward my husband,” Lisa writes. “I do still have a lot to process and a lot has been left unresolved.”
Despite her obvious ill will toward Kim, Lisa says she still wants to assist the other women in staging an intervention for her. She also feels however, that everyone should stop meddling in Kim and Kyle’s lives.
Needless to say, Lisa is a bit…conflicted. Go to her Bravo blog to see if you can make more sense of it than we could.
Kim wraps things up by promising that the “drama continues” on the upcoming reunion show that “you’ve heard so much about.” Sounds like everyone should wear their finest wine-proof attire.
Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills online in time to get caught up for the finale and the epic throwdown of a reunion show.
