The indictment of Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Joe and Teresa Giudice was shocking, but according to the courts the Giudice’s have been engaging in fraudulent activities since at least 2007 — and it finally caught up with them.
RadarOnline.com has exclusively obtained court documents that show Joe admitted to forging a mortgage as far back as 2007 — six years before he and Teresa would be indicted on mortgage fraud.
In 2007, Joe’s former business partner, Joe Mastropole gave him a $586,000 loan, as Radar reported.
Joe paid back $300,000 but instead of paying the rest, he forged a June 2007 document with Mastropole’s fake signature stating that the mortgage was discharged, or fully paid. Joe reportedly then took out another loan and kept $1 million for himself.
When the case came to trial in 2010, Joe admitted that he had forged Mastropole’s signature, as well as the notary’s signature and seal, but said he’d had his partner’s verbal authorization to do so, which Mastropole denied.
According to documents obtained by Radar, Mastropole’s lawyer, William Carlo Saracino told the court, “My client says [Giudice] forged his name. [Giudice] says he did it with content. Why would he have to do that? He knew where the office was. He knew Mastropole. … Why would he have to use a notary from somebody that was no longer with him for at least three months if this was all on the up and up, above board?”
“There should be no doubt that this was not done with authority,” Saracino continued. “It could have been easily done by Mr. Mastropole. He could have signed his own discharge of mortgage if that’s the way it was going to go down. He was accessible. They were in the same building. … False representation or actual fraud … we’ve proved beyond a shadow of a doubt what happened here.”
Judge Morris Stern eventually ruled that Giudice owed Mastropole $260,000 and included a warning in his judgment that seems incredibly prescient in retrospect.
“The signing of Mastropole’s name was a forgery… exhibiting willfulness and malice toward a former friend and current adversar,” Judge Stern wrote in misjudgment.
“The extraordinary web of lies and misrepresentations woven by Giudice to implement and cover his misconduct reflects on his approach to business matters and suggest his disregard for legal restraints which would bind others.”
Both of the Giudices now face more than 50 years in prison for allegedly engaging in similar cases of fraud.
They’ve had a somewhat strained relationship in the past and while it seemed they’d overcome their differences, Wendy Williams and NeNe Leakes are apparently beefin’ again.
The newest drama resulted when Wendy voiced her opinion about something NeNe tweeted last week.
The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” and “Glee” star posted an observation about the number of celebrities starring in reality TV shows.
“Just saw a list of all the new reality shows that r coming soon! Everybody is a reality star now! WOW! I gotta go,” NeNe wrote.
Well, Wendy—never one to bite her tongue—took issue with NeNe’s remark, questioning whether the “RHOA” breakout star’s ego was getting too big.
“Everybody is a reality star now. In case you’ve noticed, people watch more reality shows than sitcoms,” said Wendy who might have been referring to the fact that NeNe’s NBC show “The New Normal” was cancelled after one season.
“You should have just kept your mouth closed,” said Wendy.
Well, NeNe tweeted that she might just do that by never opening her mouth again on Wendy’s show.
When asked by a Twitter follower about returning to Wendy’s couch, NeNe said she had no interest in doing so again. She responded with, “No.”
It’s not the first time the two women have had friction. In March, NeNe was apparently offended by comments Wendy made about her relationship with Gregg Leakes, a man NeNe’s married twice.
“@WendyWilliams don’t know SHIT about my relationship!” she NeNe tweeted.
As for their recent rift, NeNe said she’s not sure why Wendy decided to criticize her tweet.
When asked what happened between the two,” she wrote: “That’s a good question! I have no idea.”
Two of the stars of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New Jersey were charged with charges of conspiring to defraud lenders and illegally obtaining mortgages and other loans on Monday. The U.S. Department of Justice’s Paul J. Fishman announced on Tuesday that Teresa Giudice and Giuseppe “Joe” Giudice were named in a 39-count indictment alleging lender and tax fraud.
According to the DOJ’s announcement, the Real Housewives stars are “charged with conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, making false statements on loan applications and bankruptcy fraud in a 39-count indictment returned today by a federal grand jury. The indictment also charges Giuseppe Giudice with failure to file tax returns for tax years 2004 through 2008, during which time he allegedly earned nearly $1 million.”
The indictment alleges that the Guidices lied to a bankruptcy court, the IRS, and a variety of banks.
From September 2001 through September 2008, Giuseppe and Teresa Giudice allegedly engaged in a mail and wire fraud conspiracy in which they submitted to lenders fraudulent mortgage and other loan applications and supporting documents in order to obtain mortgages and other loans. The Giudices falsely represented on loan applications and supporting documents that they were employed and/or receiving substantial salaries when, in fact, they were either not employed or not receiving such salaries.

In true Real Housewives fashion, there’s always a plot twist.
“It was nerve-wracking!” Rossi told Celebuzz when she visited our Hollywood studio. “I feel so bad for every man who has to go through this. I was surprised how scared I was… just all the things that could go wrong with this proposal.”
And it wouldn’t be Rossi if it wasn’t over-the-top. Cue wedding song (written by her, of course), helicopter, highrise rooftop and flowing white dress.
“I wrote him a song and I surprised him at his radio station,” Rossi revealed with a huge smile. “In the song I ask him to marry me.
“He had no idea he was getting in a helicopter, flying to the top of the AT&T building in downtown Los Angeles where I was waiting standing in a white flowing dress and ring!”
So on to the next most important question — when and where do they want to celebrate their big day?
“We don’t have a date set, but we’ve mulled around maybe next August,” she added. “We’ve talked about doing things far, far away. Very destination.”
Bethenny Frankel‘s talk show doesn’t premiere until September but there is already high drama on the set.
She is “very particular and difficult,” a source told the New York Post ‘.
In fact, it’s gotten so bad, her assistant, Marilyn, has already jumped ship!
“Marilyn quit after less than a month because Bethenny was so mean to her,” the source said. “Marilyn has a lot of experience working with celebrities and complained she had ‘never been treated this badly.’
“They have been interviewing other assistants, who had to sign nondisclosure agreements and were told not to talk to Bethenny unless she talks to them first. They have interviewed more than 40 people, but she doesn’t like anybody,” the source revealed to the Post.
Another insider confirmed the assistant’s departure, but insisted there’s no tension between the former The Real Housewives of New York City star and her chat show staff.
Being her assistant “is a very particular job with a lot involved, managing Bethenny’s TV and business interests. But there is absolutely no division between Bethenny and the staff on the show. For many of them it is a dream job,” the insider said.
Frankel already has ample drama in her life.
Bethenny, produced by co-produced by Ellen DeGeneres‘ company and Ellen’s producers at Telepictures, premieres Sept. 9 on Fox stations around the country.
Not every Real Housewife has a husband who’s dying to share the limelight with her on the Bravo franchise. Take Real Housewives of Miami star Lea Black’s significant other, for example. According to the site All About the Real Housewives, Roy Black, Lea’s attorney husband, refuses to participate in the show.
A source tells the site that it’s because “He wants to maintain his law reputation instead of being on reality TV.” That seems plausible, but the source adds, “He is particularly embarrassed by the trailer, in which Lea is seen gyrating on a young man while on vacation with the cast. He is not looking forward to the rest of the season airing later this year.”
Whether or not that information is correct, Roy Black has expressed his desire to stay off the show before. In an interview with CYInterview.com back in April, the lawyer explained, “I do not get involved in The Real Housewives. I have enough drama in my life as it is. I’m not getting between these women when they start getting in arguments and anything and I’ll support my wife. She’s always supported me on everything I do. So I support her being in the program, but it’s not my kind of thing I can assure you.”
After all the Real Housewives fights we’ve seen, staying on the sidelines might be the safest place to be.
The Gorga-Giudice retreat isn’t going exactly as planned.
In the most recent episode of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New Jersey, viewers saw the long-running feud between the Gorgas and the Giudices get physical when brothers-in-law Joe Gorga and Joe Giudice got into an altercation during a retreat meant to bring peace to the family.
Toward the end of the episode, Teresa Giudice summoned Caroline Manzo to the Lake George, N.Y., location where relationship experts were trying (unsuccessfully) to help the family work through their issues. It ended with Joe Gorga and his sister, Teresa, breaking down in tears while being counseled by Dr. Venus Nicolino.
Ahead of Sunday’s upcoming episode, Manzo talked to The Hollywood Reporter about what’s ahead for the Gorgas and Giudices and previewed another big trip for the cast.
The Hollywood Reporter: What was going through your mind when you got the call from Teresa?
Caroline Manzo: It was shock. I certainly didn’t expect to hear from anyone. I expected to hear stories afterward. I was very surprised to hear from Teresa. As I mentioned on the show, for her to call me, I knew there had to be a crisis mode going on. She’s a strong girl and doesn’t usually ask for help. I knew something was up.
THR: How long did it take for you to make up your mind to go?
Manzo: I had a conversation with my husband, but it happened very quickly. She called me very early in the morning, and I was in Lake George by 10:30 in the morning. It’s a four-hour drive. The bottom line is, I made a promise to both Teresa and Joe that I would be there for them. If they needed me, good or bad, I’ve got to help.
THR: Were you surprised that the fight between the two Joes got physical?
Manzo: Yes. It’s something you don’t necessarily expect when gathering with your friends and family. I’m sure it was a surprise for them as well. It’s not something on your agenda. I don’t think anybody expected that.
THR: Once you got up there, Dr. V had already arrived. Were you able to do much to help?
Manzo: For me, I felt that once Dr. V was there — I think all I will say is that I was very pleasantly surprised when I got there, and my role kind of shifted in my mind once I got there. I won’t say how.
THR: Do you think Teresa and her brother truly want to make amends?
Manzo: There is no denying how much they love each other, but they are both very, very stubborn. The two of them — they have the same mentality that: “You have to give.” “No, I don’t have to give, you do.” In order to make it work, somebody has to give. They do love each other very much, but you have to remember, this is a few years’ worth of estrangement, if you will. And to some degree, within a couple of years, beyond what is said and done to each other, there is a trickle-down effect on so many other people. The hurt is very deep; it’s not going to be an easy fix. It will take a lot more than what you’ve seen already, and you do see a lot of that happen as the season continues. This is not over yet; there is plenty more.
THR: Earlier in the season, you reached out to Joe Gorga, prompting his wife, Melissa, to confess to Joe that she was annoyed that you hadn’t reached out to her as well. Have you discussed that with her?
Manzo: I haven’t talked to her about it, but I was very surprised and a little hurt, without a doubt. My intentions were pure and good. Over the past couple of years, it’s always been made very clear that Melissa said she wants to be kept out of it: “Teresa and Joe, keep me out of it.” I met with Joe and didn’t involve her out of respect to her feelings of not wanting to be part of it. When she said that, I was kind of taken aback. I’m not going to lie. It definitely hurt my feelings, but it’s one of those things; point taken.
THR: Was it hard for you not to take sides in all this?
Manzo: Last year, it certainly was hard. I think obviously my attitude showed, but after a while, when you sit down and start to think and pull yourself out of it and look at it for what it is, you see things differently and realize you’re a part of the problem and not part of the solution. Once I came to that realization, I took a step back and decided to be part of the solution rather than the problem.
“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star NeNe Leakes is being sued by her “celebrity wedding planner” — who claims NeNe racked up a MILLION DOLLAR bill for her big day … and never paid, TMZ has learned.
The woman going after Leakes is Tiffany Cook — who claims NeNe hired Dream Design Weddings to coordinate the party for her marriage to Gregg Leakes on June 22, 2013 … a wedding that will featured on a Bravo TV special in September.
In her suit, filed in Georgia, Cook claims Leakes promised to pay her 15% of the entire wedding budget PLUS fees design and execution of the wedding PLUS travel expenses to the event.
In total, Cook claims NeNe’s budget for the wedding was $1.8 MILLION!!!!!!!!! And Cook claims she was due $270k (the 15%) PLUS another $889,900 (design fees) PLUS $1,750 (4 coach tickets from Florida to Georgia).
Cook claims NeNe did fork over the initial down payment ($18,750) … but she hasn’t seen a penny since — and is suing for the remaining $1,142,900 balance … PLUS damages.
In total, Cook — who also put together Kordell Stewart‘s wedding to Porsha — wants more than $2.5 MILLION for her troubles.
How’s THAT for a wedding gift???
Even though Real Housewives of Orange County star Vicki Gunvalson was voluntarily dismissed as a defendant in the contentious lawsuit surrounding a vodka product bearing her name, the reality star’s actions remain front and center of the legal case.
Her ex-boyfriend Brooks Ayers is still being sued in a Las Vegas court alleging he committed fraud, breached contract, failed to live up to good faith dealings, misrepresented himself and conspired to unjustly enrich himself and Gunvalson, who he has dated on-and-off since 2011 in the wake of her divorce to ex-husband Donn.
Now, .com has learned, Brooks has admitted that Vicki, 51, gifted him a 16.67% share in her business to produce distilled flavored vodka — a share he later sold to another business partner for $50,000 in a bid to wipe out child support and IRS debt.
The confession is bound to give Brooks’ critics more fuel who have long accused him of being with Vicki just for money during their two-year, on-again, off-again romance.
In a response to the suit filed on July 23, Brooks told a Nevada judge that “Gunvalson gave him a membership interest in VV LLC to compensate him for the services he had provided.”
He also confessed that he later met the man now suing him, Robert Williamson III, a professional poker player whom the one-time couple went into business with in 2012, in March to orchestrate the sale of that interest because “he needed money for child support and an IRS payment.”
Williamson had previously claimed Brooks told him that he would be jailed imminently if the sale did not go through.
According to Williamson’s lawsuit, filed in June, “it was learned later that Brooks and Vicki had used this purchase as a way to obtain additional money from RW III in bad faith without the intent to honor the intent of the transaction.”
He charged in court papers that Gunvalson later “demanded” that ownership be returned to a 50-50 split between them — despite the existence of a contract that the Bravo star appeared to acknowledge by way of her signature.
“Upon information and belief, it was the intent of Brooks and Vicki to lure RW III into the purchase of Brooks interest without the good faith intent to move forward with the company and make it successful,” the original suit stated.
In his answer, Brooks confirmed Vicki demanded that the ownership be returned to 50/50 even through she had acknowledged and signed an agreement to that effect.
He denied that he and Vicki had used this purchase as a way to obtain additional money from Williamson and rejected that Vicki had offered a “total lack of cooperation or effort” to promote the organization and make it successful.
He said Williamson “suffered no legally cognizable damages” as a result of he and Vicki’s actions. He’s seeking the suit be dismissed.
Three cast members from “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” are scheduled to appear before a judge in September to face assault and terroristic threat charges.
Court officials confirmed Wednesday that the criminal cases against “Housewives” star Jacqueline Laurita of Franklin Lakes; her husband, Christopher; and Joe Gorga of Montville would proceed in Ridgewood’s Municipal Court on Sept. 5, starting at 4:30 p.m.
The charges — stemming from a fracas at the grand opening of a salon in Ridgewood — had been referred in April to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office for grand jury consideration. But two weeks ago, the matter was returned to Ridgewood for resolution.
Also due in court Sept. 5 is John Karagiorgis of Paramus, who is charged with assault and making terroristic threats as well as three counts of harassment.
Karagiorgis claimed he was assaulted by the “Housewives” trio when cameras were rolling for the Bravo series. He claimed he sustained several injuries, including a head abrasion, when Jacqueline Laurita allegedly clubbed him with a stiletto heel.
In April, Ridgewood’s municipal judge found there was enough probable cause for the charges against the four to proceed.
He is currently expecting his third child with Real Housewives Of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak.
And fatherhood is clearly something Kroy Biermann relishes.
The 27-year-old has officially adopted his 35-year-old wife’s two daughters Birelle, 16, and Ariana, 12, from her previous relationships.
Kroy and his the Real Housewives Of Atlanta star already have two sons together – Kroy Jr., who was born in 2011 before they were married, and Kash, who they welcomed into the world in 2012. Kim is currently pregnant with her fifth child.
‘I don’t know if I could love anybody else’s children as much as Kroy loves the girls,’ Kim said of her husband during an E! News interview on Tuesday. ‘I just don’t know if I have it in me.’
Kroy admitted his life before marriage was somewhat different.
‘Before Kim and before the girls and before the boys, I lived a pretty regimented life,’ Biermann said. ‘I’d wake up, eat breakfast, go to work, come home — it was pretty normal. Now, my house isn’t going to be as clean as it was before, but it’s not important. Those things are not important and it’s all about prioritizing and understanding.”
The Atlanta Falcons defensive added, ‘In order to keep balance you have to have priorities. Our careers are our priorities, our kids, our health, our happiness.’
Kim confessed that she ‘wasn’t really looking for a relationship’ before she met Kroy at a charity function in May 2010.
But the reality star couldn’t help but notice the athlete’s impressive behind.
‘When I saw his butt, I have never in my life seen a butt like that,’ Kim said. ‘I just thought, “Wow he’s got a really cute butt and a million-dollar smile.”‘
But his personality won her over in the end, and the fact that her daughters approved of Kroy ‘almost immediately’.
‘I didn’t date a whole lot of people,’ she said. ‘The relationships I had were long-term, but sometimes my daughters would notice that the person I was dating, they were doing things to kind of win my daughters’ over to get to the mom — it wasn’t genuine. And my girls can see right through that crap. So with Kroy, it was just real…It worked from the very very beginning.”
The Real Housewife of Orange County’s Lauri Waring Peterson is o was on the show for the first four seasons, is a lightening rod of controversy.
Her allegations that she saw fellow Housewife Vicki Gunvalson in bed with another man AND another woman — has sent Vicki into a fury.
And now in an exclusive interview with RumorFix, she says she witnessed this more than once.“I absolutely did see this,” she tells our Real Mr. Housewife. “There wasn’t just one occasion, there were two occasions. One occasion was in San Diego in which the same woman, Vicki, and I were sharing a room. I was on a roll away bed. The other two women were in individual beds. The man came in — who I know also, as he works in the insurance industry– all of these are married people. He came in and bounced back and forth between beds. I took a sleeping pill and went to sleep, because I didn’t want to know. I did see them in bed together.”Then she says it happened in New Orleans at an insurance convention. “I was going to spend the night in Vicki’s room,” she says. “When I came in to the room I was expecting to be by myself, because I thought everybody was out having fun. When I walked into the room the same three people were in one bed together. Like I said they were under the covers. I don’t know what they were doing. I don’t want to know what they were doing. I did see it. That’s the thing that I will stand by. I won’t speak about anything unless I witnessed it first hand, like Vicki told me about her indiscretions or I actually saw something with my own eyes. Whether I saw a text message or I see something – those are the things that I will speak about.Nothing else. ”Lauri does want to point out, “I do not know if they were having sex, because the scene made me feel uncomfortable and it was awkward for me, because all of these people are married.”Vicki has written in her blog, “It’s wrong, filled with lies, unjustifiable, and just plain mean what Lauri has been saying about me.”
Bethenny Frankel and her estranged husband are battling over their three-year-old daughter Bryn‘s nutrition, amidst allegations that the Skinnygirl mogul is obsessive about what the little girl eats, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
“Bethenny obsessively monitors what Bryn eats,” a source close to the situation told Radar, noting the child was born premature, weighing only 4 lbs 12 ounces.
“Jason makes sure Bryn eats healthy, but also lets her indulge in sweets. Bethenny has publicly said she has been on diets most of her life and has built her empire on being thin. Jason just doesn’t want that to negatively impact on Bryn.”
The former Real of New York City turned cocktail mogul has spoken out about her own rollercoaster with dieting, saying in a 2011 interview that she spent her “entire life being obsessed with dieting.”
Despite the fears, a source close to Frankel dismissed it as an issue.
“Bryn and her mom often have ice cream together,” the source said.
“Bethenny just wants to make sure their little girl eats healthy and always makes Bryn organic, fresh meals and snacks. Jason is just trying anything to make her look like a bad mom. She is trying to be the best mom possible and wants the fighting with Jason to stop for the sake of their little girl.”
A source previously told us Bethenny and the hedge funder manager have been daing since earlier this year!
But, an insider revealed: “Bethenny doesn’t want to go public with the relationship because her divorce to husband Jason isn’t yet finalized.”
You’ve gotta be kidding me:
Well, that’s just Gone With the Wind fabulous! Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kenya Moore will be returning for the hit reality show’s sixth season, a source tells Us Weekly, and the outspoken former beauty queen could not be more thrilled.
“Kenya is very happy to be back!” the source tells Us. According to the insider, Moore, 42, will also get a substantial raise for her contributions to the Bravo show’s success — a whopping $600,000 for the season, with additional bonuses based on ratings.
“NeNe [Leakes], Kim [Zolciak] and Kandi [Burruss] make $800,000 a season but they can make more for doing certain special things, like Kim taking off her wig,” another source previously told Us. “Phaedra and Porsha make $50,000 per season.”
Moore joined the cast last fall for season five, and quickly got off on the wrong foot with castmates Leakes and Cynthia Bailey.
“She was a Miss America? How many years ago was that?” Leakes sniped about Moore — who won the pageant in 1993 — during a conversation with Bailey and Phaedra Parks. “This is 2012.”
Moore has garnered a solid following of fans, however, some of them A-list celebrities. In February, Beyonce revealed that she, too, is a fan of the show when she told an interviewer that she thought her performance with former Destiny’s Child group members Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland was “Gone With the Wind fabulous!”
Funnily enough, during an episode in season five, Moore informed her castmates that she is, in fact, often mistaken for Jay-Z‘s wife.
“Every day, somebody thinks I’m Beyonce,” she claimed, adding that hundreds of people asked for her autograph at the 2009 Inauguration.
The Real Housewives of Orange County‘s Tamra Barney appeared on Watch What Happens Live Monday, and admitted that she’s given thought to adopting a child, as well as offering her opinion — or lack thereof — about Vicki Gunvalson‘s , Brooks Ayers.
On Watch What Happens Live, a caller asked Tamra about if she’s given thought to having a baby with her new husband Eddie Judge, but Tamra said her “biological clock has died,” as she’s had her tubes tied.
“However, we have talked about adopting a little baby from Mexico, or maybe surrogacy,” Tamra said. “I have my hands filled with my beautiful kids … I don’t want to be the mom in kindergarten that’s like, 70 … I’m not up for that!”
Tamra said her new hubby loves her children, and that if he approaches her in the next year about having one of their own, they’ll “talk about it then.”
Then, Tamra was asked by another caller which one of her castmates’ lovers she would rather spend a week with on a deserted island — Brooks or Slade Smiley.
Tamra looked disgusted with the given options, telling Cohen, “That’s a really messed up question,” before launching into the reason why she’s not a big fan of Brooks.
“I just feel that there’s somebody better for her out there … first and foremost, I want Vicki to be happy, I think she has so much to offer … a lot of people who don’t think he’s right for her,” she said. “Vicki’s like my sister — Vicki and I have a bond. ‘Do I agree with everything Vicki does?‘ No.”
